I am so honoured and amazed.

This is the end of the film festivals / judging for us.

What a way to close out the year of 2023!

I am still amazed at how well the film was received all around the world.

I though when we won in Rome, Brazil, the Overcome Film Festival’s awarding us the 2021 Nominee Jury Prize for Best Documentary Short Film, that there was no more that this film go do (Laurel / Award wise).

As soon as we are officially out of the International Film Festivals and that I hope is in December 2023, or January 1st 2024. We should be out of Official Reviews / Selections, Committees and Judges hands. I am thankful for the integrity of the Independent Film committees for keeping the film out of circulation.

Dave Sawyer Thank You. All our producer did was enter it for an International Film Festival circuit and it took off.

Covid put a wrench in many gears but for this documentary it captured peoples eyes and hearts.

Film festival organizers moved almost all of their screenings and selections panels and judging online. People had the time to watch, especially the critics and judges. I am so thankful we made it on many a film aficionados watch list amid all the binge watching that was going on during the covid-19 pandemic.

Tracy Cochrane (Producer) had more time to edit the film than she thought she would have, as well, the Alt / Indy Media organizers had the time and got to evaluate so much content, it is amazing that “dead.boy.” came out ahead with so many awards among the mountain of submissions from all over the world between 2020-2023.

I do not honestly know at this moment how many film festivals we where selected for screening by, what I do know is I am honoured for the recognition, Laurels, and Awards the International Independent Film community has given to it.

My hope is the “dead.boy.” will continue to touch people and that you will have a copy and will share it with the World.

“We have successfully been in the film festivals for 9 months or just over, I am very proud of what we created and how much awareness it has brought. With that said it’s important that everyone knows that this film was self-funded, I had the tools and the know-how and did it on a very tight budget. I have recently started to have issues with trolls on our pages and all I can say is no. I simply will not put my time and energy into silly child’s play. If you would like to see the film, please click the link, if not that is fine but we will not have comments from anyone who has not seen the film. It is also important that everyone know that the fee for the ticket to my film does NOT come to me, it goes towards the venue, make no mistake, it is extremely difficult to make a feature-length film and equally as hard especially now to arrange and showcase films from all over the world. Please do not disrespect me or any of the film festivals that are struggling to keep our art alive and share our work with the public.

Sincerely,
Tracey Cochrane “
