In the account of David & Goliath, David went to the water and picked five smooth stones out of the brook. – 1 Samuel 17:40

King David was a valiant fighter and man, full of confidence that God would deliver his enemies into his hands be they men, beasts, or giants.

In the account of David & Goliath:

David went to the water and picked five smooth stones out of the brook. – 1 Samuel 17:40 biblegateway

He needed but one stone to take down Goliath. Was David lacking faith in taking any more than one stone to the battle? Some question if that was the case.

As it is, what is often times not mentioned when speaking about the account of Davids taking down Goliath is that Goliath had 4 brothers.

David was ready to take on and throw down all 5 of them, that hardly looks like a shaky or wavering faith now does it.

In 2 Samuel 21:18-22 Goliath dad , a giant, had four other sons besides Golaith.

20 Yet again there was war at Gath where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number; and he also was born to the giant. 21 So when he a 21. So when he a defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him. 22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.

Like David, You and or your people may have to face more than one giant, that does not change the outcome of your victory, it only adds to you several victories.
